App demo
Ashmoor FCAshmoor FC 1924, Kalamazoo
Put your car on the rota
Two of four cars are still missing for Saturday. Every parent sees the same list — so nobody signs up twice, and nobody assumes somebody else will do it.

- Replaces
- Replaces the notice by the locker room, the round-robin email to 90 addresses and the sheet of paper the carpool list is collected on before every away game. Four cars are settled on Tuesday evening instead of at 10:00 PM on Friday, and when an autopay payment bounces the treasurer calls nobody — the family sees the arrears itself.
Everything in this demo is laid out and none of it acts: buttons only report that they have no effect in the demo, checkboxes are fixed, input fields lead nowhere. Nothing is stored, sent or fetched.
How Awelior would approach this project
Ashmoor FC 1924, Kalamazoo is invented — the way it is built is not. None of this is work delivered for a client. It is the shape we would give such a project — with the same depth, but without a client who would have to answer for it.
Where it starts
Ashmoor FC has ninety families, teams from the juniors to the women's side, and four channels saying the same thing: the noticeboard by the changing room, the round-robin email, the group chat, and a sheet of paper for the lift rota. What fails most reliably is the simplest question before every away match — who is driving.
Decisions
The lift rota is the reason to open the app
Every parent sees the same list with the same gaps. That is why nobody signs up twice and nobody not at all. A club app that only shows announcements gets opened twice and then forgotten.
Visibility stops at the team
The team page is seen by the parents of that team, the coaching staff and the committee. Withdraw a child and the entry disappears, and the phone number with it — which is the difference from a spreadsheet that went round by email once and has lived on twenty computers since.
Only first names for children
And match photographs do not land in the app automatically. A club collects parental consent once a year on paper, not through a tick box that gets dismissed during an upload.
Deliberately left outNo payment in the app. Subscription status, returned direct debit and mandate are all visible; changing bank details goes to the treasurer as a request. A direct debit mandate is a declaration with legal consequences, not an input field — it belongs where the club answers for the collection.

Navigation responds, including the route from the overview into a team and back. The availability reply, the lift rota and the bank details form are fully rendered and inert; the four states have a view of their own.
How it would go on
Membership and subscription runs
Member records, family rates, joiners and leavers, the direct debit run and returned payments. That is the software a club app connects to — it cannot replace it.
Association and eligibility
Registrations with the association, player passes, match eligibility. A sentence like “eligibility continues until 31 August” has a source outside the app, and that source has to be right.
Volunteers and running it
Who keeps the fixtures, who writes announcements, who resets an account when a parent changes phone. In a club somebody does that in the evening after work — and that sets how much an app like this is allowed to require.
An app like this for your business?
Ashmoor FC is invented — the fit is not. Apps come about exactly this way: from the routes that already exist in a business, only without the paper in between.
Sample app by Awelior. Invented business, invented data, nothing stored.
