Business to business

Used machines. View first, pay after.

We sell nothing. The sale is concluded between the two businesses — and the money sits in an escrow account until handover, not in the seller's account.

Where the money goes

  1. View it

Book a slot through the marketplace, at the seller's premises. For most machines this is compulsory: without a signed viewing record the purchase cannot be started.

  2. Pay into escrow

The buyer transfers to an escrow account held separately from our own business account. The seller can see the money arrive but cannot draw on it.

  3. Collect and check

The buyer collects or has it loaded, then has ten working days to accept. That period starts with handover, not with payment.

  4. Release or object

Without an objection, escrow pays the seller on the eleventh working day. With an objection the money stays put until both sides agree or a court decides.

From the trade

The press brake was in Boston and we are in Tulsa. Without escrow I would have wired $15,000 to a firm I have never met.
Andrew Poole · Poole Metalworks
We listed a machine and sold it in eleven days. Making the viewing compulsory cost us two inquiries — and brought the serious ones.
Ruth Sanderson · Sanderson Logistics LLC
On the test run the axis ran untrue. I objected, and the money was still in escrow. The seller put it right and then I released it.
Martin Ayres · Ayres Machining

How the order comes about

We do sell prominence — and we write „paid placement" on it. What the list is ordered by otherwise is set out in a paragraph, not a footnote.

Ironvale Machinery Exchange

Businesses sell machines to businesses. We provide the marketplace, the viewing slots and the escrow account — the selling is done by the businesses.
