From posting to invoice
Posting, day 0
The client submits it and we publish within one working day or ask for what is missing. The place and the contact details stay hidden.
Applications, days 1 to 14
Contractors apply with a short text, their distance, their response time and their profile. Four applications per posting at most — more helps nobody, and the fifth contractor would have written for nothing.
The award
The client picks one or lets the deadline pass. On an award we release the contact details to both sides and invoice the contractor the $39 matching fee.
Quote and contract, without us
Survey, quote, contract, staged payments, sign-off, invoice: all of it between client and contractor. We see neither the sum nor the invoice, and we take no share of it.
Follow-up, 14 days later
We ask both sides once whether it went ahead. If it did not, we refund the contractor the $39 — no evidence needed, on the word of both sides. Only after a confirmed completion can the client leave a review.

All amounts exclude sales tax, because they are invoiced to businesses. For clients the board is free — including when they end up hiring nobody.
Common questions
Who is my contract with?
With the contractor you award the job to. TradeCall never becomes a party to it — we match the two of you and charge the contractor for that. Who you are dealing with is on the profile before the award and, with the full address, in the release afterwards.
Does money move through the board?
Not one cent of the payment for the work. Staged payments and the final invoice go straight to the contractor. We invoice the contractor for the matching fee and nothing else. That also means there is no escrow here — anyone who needs one agrees it with the contractor, through a guarantee or staged payments tied to progress.
Is every contractor here a business?
Yes. Without a state business registration, and the contractor license where the state requires one, nobody joins. The posting side is the other direction: whether a private person or a company is asking. For the contractor that matters, because a private client is a consumer — the cancellation terms and the warranty on the work have to be spelled out in the contract before it is signed.
How are postings and applications ordered?
Postings by closing date, and within a day by distance from the contractor's address. Clients see applications by distance and median response time, both shown on the application itself. There is no paid placement: the extended profile costs money and changes nothing about the order. If that ever changed, the word „advert" would appear.
How do you know the reviews are genuine?
Only a client whose award went ahead and who confirmed completion can leave one — both are recorded and checked before each review. The wording we do not check. Contractors cannot have reviews removed, only reply once in public. Below five reviews we show the count instead of a star average.
What if the contractor does not show up, or botches it?
Defects, deadlines and sign-off follow your contract with the contractor, not our terms — we cannot rule on them. What we do: report it within 30 days of the award and the contractor is not refunded the fee, we hear both sides, and a repeat gets the account suspended. For the dispute itself, an approved trade arbitration body can help; we pass on the address on request.
Can I withdraw a posting?
At any time and without a reason, as long as no award has been made. Contractors who applied get a short message — no explanation, but the fact that it was withdrawn rather than given to somebody else.
