Where the money goes, and when.
The marketplace takes the payment and holds it until handover. After that it pays out to the farm, less the fee the farm carries.
From basket to payout
Order, Tuesday 8 pm
The farms take orders for the current week until Tuesday evening. Payment goes to the marketplace straight away, by direct debit or transfer. Up to that point any order can be canceled without giving a reason.
Harvest and picking
The farms pick on Wednesday. If something has not come together — weather, quantity, a sick animal — the line is dropped and refunded the same Wednesday. You hear about it before you drive to the pickup point.
Handover, Thu or Fri
At the point, what you take is ticked off. Whatever you leave behind counts as not handed over and is refunded. For deliveries into town the driver signs instead.
Payout, the Thursday after
Seven days after handover we pay the farm, less 8 %. That week is our buffer: a complaint during it holds the money until the matter is settled.
If there is a dispute
Tell us within seven days of handover and we freeze the amount. The farm then has five days to respond. If you cannot agree, we refund up to $40 on perishable goods out of the held amount and charge it to the farm; beyond that it stays between you and the farm, because the contract is theirs.

All figures include sales tax. Buyers pay nothing beyond delivery — the fee sits with the seller.
Common questions
Who is my contract with?
With the farm, the beekeeper or the private person who posted the listing — never with the marketplace. We only step in for the payment. The seller's name and address appear on the listing, in the basket and on the confirmation. Four farms in one basket means four contracts, and each can be canceled on its own.
How do I know whether a business or a private person is selling?
From the label on the listing: „business" or „private sale". It comes from the seller's own declaration when they joined; for businesses we have also seen the state business registration. It sits there because what you can expect hangs on it — a private sale comes as-is, with no returns and no warranty, and nobody should discover that in the small print.
Can I send an order back?
From a business, yes, under that seller's return policy — except for perishables such as eggs, meat, fresh cheese or bread, which is stated on the listing itself. From a private seller, no. Separately from all that, you can cancel any order without a reason until Tuesday 8 pm, and anything you leave at the pickup point is refunded.
How is the list of listings ordered?
By default: next pickup day, then distance to your chosen pickup point, then how long the listing has been up. There are no paid placements — no farm can buy its way forward, and the fee is the same for every business. Reordering by price, unit price or rating is up to you.
Are the reviews real?
Only an account with a paid, completed order from that seller can leave one, and we check that link automatically for every review. What the text says we do not check — but we delete no bad reviews and buy none. Where a farm has fewer than five reviews, the count sits next to the average, because an average of two votes says nothing.
When does the farm get my money?
Seven days after handover, always on a Thursday, less 8 %. Until then the amount sits with us. Raise a complaint during that week and we hold it until the matter is settled.
What if the goods were not right?
Report it through the order within seven days of handover. The farm has five days to respond. If you do not reach an agreement, we refund up to $40 on perishable goods out of the held amount and charge it to the farm. Beyond that we cannot decide: the contract is between you and the farm, not with us.
